The role:  Ready for your break out role in Talent Acquisition? We are looking for a passionate, inquisitive and consultative Senior Talent Acquisition Lead who can come in and learn the ropes at Starcity and then transition to leading the team mid way into their first year.  To be set up for success this Lead will first start as an individual contributor partner with senior leadership at Starcity to build out our talent plans and recruit across finance, design, tech, and marketing. They will also be a part of helping find and mentor junior members on the Talent Acquisitions team as well.

We will be hiring 40-60 people this year alone so this an amazing opportunity to join a company where Talent Acquisition will be at the forefront of our company’s growth plan and is highly valued. This is a highly visible role that will work with the whole company. You will report into our Director of Talent and work closely with our COO + Co-Founder.

About you: You are a proactive, organized and radiant person who is passionate about connecting people to a company on a mission to make cities more accessible to everyone. You have high social intelligence and can read subtlety in intonation and body language. You are articulate, witty, work best with deadlines, and err on the side of over-communicating.  And you have an opinion about how things could be done better!

Responsibilities:
  • Source and engage top candidates for open positions
  • Review and qualify resumes and cover letters
  • Conduct initial candidate phone screenings
  • Drive the hiring process from first outreach to post-offer acceptance
  • Craft a delightful candidate experience. Candidates should be kept informed throughout the interview process 
  • Partner with hiring managers to write consistent job descriptions, develop interview processes for open roles, and deliver training on interview techniques
  • Own internal programs for employee referral and internal mobility
  • Manage tooling/vendors for recruiting and resource allocation against a budget while meeting hiring goals
  • Own and develop employer branding initiatives that attract diverse, high quality, and values-aligned candidates
  • Collaborate with other People Ops team members and managers on on-boarding new employees 
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally a technology company or a startup. Agency experience very welcomed.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members. Desire to do so again.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Excellent spoken and written communication

  • Consistent and timely follow through
  • Familiarity with online recruiting tools and platforms
Bonus Attributes:
  • Experience using Lever or other recruiting ATS (Greenhouse, Hire by Google, etc.)
  • Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin proficiency

The position is a full-time, salaried role with medical, dental and vision benefits. The position is based at our HQ in San Francisco.
